SHOTCRETE

Shotcrete is a type of concrete that is “sprayed on” through a high velocity hose onto a surface to form a cast-in-place concrete wall for construction projects.  It is reinforced by conventional steel rods, steel mesh, and/or fibers. Fiber reinforcement (steel or synthetic) is also used for stabilization in applications such as slopes or tunnels.  Shotcrete is a great way to reinforce a wall, roof, or floor by allowing the concrete to form to the constructed area. One can then slowly increase the thickness of the substance to form a strong, concrete structure.
